Mood Moves

Hey peeps! Over the last few months I have become a big fan of Women's Health Magazine. Octobers issue came with a free workout cards outlining exersices to tone, slim and flatten and a weekly routine to get the results. At the moment I am on a fitness plan provided by my gym so I have not trialed the full workout card program. If you are not sure what you should be doing at the gym, these cards can be extreamly useful.

Today I want to share with everyone a tip to move your mood. Sometimes exercise is the last thing you want to do if you have had a bad day at work or there are things in life that are frustrating you but exercies can allow you time to reflect.

If you are feeling overwhelmed core exercises need you to steady your breathing and focus your mind. This can help regain a feeling of control and the increased oxygen to your muscles which will help to calm your mind.
If you are feeling sad or depressed doing cardio will release the feel good hormones called endorphins. If you jog or run you will return feeling fresh, enegized and positive.

If you are feeling frustrated circuit training combines cardio and resistance training. You'll get an endorphin hit, as well as a sense of control from working with weights. Move fast from station to station to keep energy levels high and get that frustration out of the system!

If you are feeling anxious yoga can bring your mind back to a relaxed state. The focus on controlled movements, balance, strengthening, stretching and breathing slowly and deeply will help you to rationalize your thoughts and return to a calmer, happier place.

Well that's all for now. I really enjoyed finding this information so I will continue to blog fitness tips. Hope everyone has a great week.
